IAS officer LS Changsan has been appointed CEO of National Health Authority on additional charge.
L.S. Changsan, a 1994-batch IAS officer from the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, has been given additional charge as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Health Authority (NHA). The appointment, issued as an ex-post facto order, is effective for one year starting August 22, 2024.
Currently serving on central deputation as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Changsan now takes on the added responsibility of leading the NHA. With her deep administrative expertise, she is expected to play a key role in steering major health programs such as the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission and the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY).
Her leadership is anticipated to contribute significantly to strengthening health governance and accelerating the implementation of flagship national health schemes.
