NCSD 2025: MP Bureaucrats earn national praise for Innovation & Public Service

Madhya Pradesh’s IAS Officers have been honored nationally for Innovation and Public Service on the National Civil Services Day 2025.

On National Civil Services Day, observed every year on April 21, the nation celebrates the unwavering commitment of civil servants who bring government policies to life and enhance public welfare. In Madhya Pradesh, a group of IAS officers has not only revolutionized governance in the state but has also gained acclaim across India for their groundbreaking work.

Their efforts—spanning women’s empowerment, agricultural advancements, and infrastructure development—have driven lasting progress and set benchmarks for other states to follow.

P. Narhari (2001 batch), Principal Secretary of Public Health Engineering, pioneered the Ladli Laxmi Yojana in 2006, a scheme later replicated by states like Maharashtra and Delhi.

Preeti Maithil (2009 batch), Commissioner of Horticulture & Food Processing, won a National Award for boosting Rewa’s sex ratio and was lauded by ICMR for her work in promoting millets.

Praveen Adhayach, Private Secretary to a Union Minister, was commended by the President and Prime Minister for ensuring Burhanpur became the first fully tap-water-connected district under the Jal Jeevan Mission.

Priyanka Das (now at LBSNAA Mussoorie) led the scientific closure and redevelopment of Bhanpur Khanti and received a national award for her contributions to the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign.

Karmveer Sharma, Commissioner of Food & Civil Supplies, has been repeatedly honored for his outstanding governance in Dindori and Rewa.

Through their vision and dedication, these officers have placed Madhya Pradesh at the forefront of national progress, underscoring the pivotal role of civil servants in fostering grassroots transformation.
