Naxalites triggered a powerful landmine blast on 11 May in an unlikely area of the district, after the Gadchiroli Police arrested Delhi University Professor G N Saibaba for alleged Maoist links. Seven cops has been killed on the spot and leaving two grievously injured in this Naxalites attack.
