If sources are to be believed, three names are in race for appointment of DG CISF
1. S Javeed Ahmed (IPS-1984-Uttar Pradesh)who is presently posted as Director of National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Sciences (NICFS) Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA)Government of India, Javeed will retire in March 2020.
2-Deepak Mishra (IPS-1984-AGUT)who is presently posted as Spl.Director General in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA)Government of India, is next on the list with almost nine months in hand to retire.
3-Rajesh Ranjan (IPS-1984-BIHAR)who is presently posted as Spl.Director General in the BSF Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA)Government of India,his tenure more than two and a half years long service on hand.
