Retired IAS Officer Manoj Kumar Parida has been appointed Chief of Odisha RTI Commission. Veteran AGMUT cadre officer brings decades of experience to the role.
Bhubaneswar: The Government of Odisha has appointed retired IAS officer Manoj Kumar Parida as the new Chief Information Commissioner of the Odisha Right to Information (RTI) Commission.
A 1986-batch officer from the AGMUT cadre, Mr. Parida is a distinguished former bureaucrat known for his vast administrative expertise. His appointment is expected to enhance transparency and strengthen accountability mechanisms across the state.
In addition to Mr. Parida, three more individuals have been appointed as Information Commissioners:

Pranabindu Acharya, retired IPS officer

Kalpana Pattnaik, senior advocate of the High Court

Pabitra Mandal, retired IAS officer
These appointments are aimed at reinforcing the Odisha RTI Commission’s effectiveness and ensuring robust implementation of the Right to Information Act, 2005.
The Odisha State Information Commission plays a vital role in upholding citizens’ right to access information and promoting transparent governance throughout the state.
