Manoj Abraham Given Promotion to DGP Rank in Kerala

IPS officer Manoj Abraham has been elevated to DGP rank in Kerala.

Currently serving as the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) for Law and Order, Manoj Abraham has now been promoted to the rank of Director General (DG), Fire and Rescue Services, Kerala.

Thiruvananthapuram: Senior IPS officer Manoj Abraham (1994 batch, Kerala cadre) has been promoted to the rank of Director General in the Kerala Police. He will head the Fire and Rescue Services Department, following the retirement of K. Padmakumar on April 30, 2025.

The newly assigned DG position has been accorded status and responsibilities equivalent to the cadre post of Director, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau.

Manoj Abraham, who has had a distinguished career in law enforcement, is presently serving as the ADGP (Law and Order). Over the years, he has held key roles, including serving as Commissioner of Police in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi.

An officer with strong academic credentials, Abraham holds an MBA from Osmania University and a Master’s degree in Economics from the Central University of Hyderabad. He is also regarded as an expert in cybersecurity.
