SC collegium has recommended names of two Supreme Court judges which is seen as first-ever from Manipur.
CJI DY Chandrachud headed Supreme Court Collegium lately on Thursday recommended posting of Acting Chief Justice of Madras High Court Justice R Mahadevan as judges of the Supreme Court and Chief Justice of Jammu & Kashmir & Ladakh High Court Justice N Kotiswar Singh.
In its resolution passed today, the Collegium says that Justice Singh’s appointment as a Judge of the Supreme Court is going to provide representation to the North-East.
