Maldives has decided not to renew Hydrographic Survey pact with India now on.
A statement from the Government of Maldives, states that it will not renew the Hydrographic Survey pact made with India. The statement was reported in a Maldives-based news website.
The statement was made by Mohamed Firuzul, Maldives’ Under Secretary for Public Policy in which he clarified that part of the ‘Hafthaa-14’ roadmap.
According to the Under Secretary, the roadmap was to revoke diplomatic and bilateral agreements with other countries when it is considered to put the country’s sovereignty in peril.
