A key bureaucratic reshuffle at the Centre takes place with shifting of 25 senior IAS officers along with promotion of 15 officers.
In a significant administrative overhaul, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a series of high-level transfers and promotions affecting key ministries and departments within the Government of India.
Key Appointments:
Keshav Kumar (KK) Pathak (1990 batch, Bihar cadre), currently Chairman of the Bihar Revenue Board, has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat.
N. Saravana Kumar (2000 batch, Bihar cadre) takes charge as the new Vice Chairman of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA).
Bhuvnesh Kumar (1995 batch, UP cadre), presently Additional Secretary in MeitY, will now serve as the CEO of UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India).
Amitesh Kumar Sinha (1997 batch, IRAS) replaces Bhuvnesh Kumar as Additional Secretary in MeitY.
Abhishek Singh (1995 batch, Nagaland cadre) has been appointed Director General of the National Informatics Centre (NIC) and will also hold additional charge as Additional Secretary, MeitY.
Tourism Ministry & State-Run Corporations:
Mugdha Sinha, previously DG (Tourism), is now the Managing Director of India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC).
Suman Billa steps in as the new Director General (Tourism), replacing Sinha.
Jitendra Srivastava (2000 batch, Bihar cadre) will lead REC Ltd. under the Ministry of Power.
