Assembly poll results will decide the future course of bureaucracy in the Uttar Pradesh. If sources are to believed if ruling party retains power in any state then there will be no major change in the bureaucratic set up but if BJP comes to power then major overhauling is expected. In the mean while,the bureaucrats have started visiting their political masters more often, to get desired posting when these leaders come to power. If hung asssembly kind of situation arises then also, the bureaucrats are even looking for new political masters to keep alive their chances of getting creamy posting. Sources says, Akhilesh’s close officers like Navneet Sehgal, Sadakant Shukla, Aradhana Shukla and Alok Ranjan are also trying to establish good connections with the BJP. A very senior bureaucrat posted in a very important department has already met with a BJP MP in Poorvanchal, whose name is being considered for the chief ministerial post if the party comes to power.
People are also talking that Rahul Bhatnagar may not remain the Chief Secretary for long. Sanjay Agarwal and Deepak Singhal are being looked as the frontrunners for the post if BJP takes over power in the state.
Now all eyes are on poll rsults of tomorrow.
