The NDA government is likely to name governors to some states ahead of the Parliament session beginning July 7 with a decisive round of political consultations expected to be held soon.
The list of candidates who are in the consideration zone are:
- Former UP Speaker Kesarinath Tripathi,
- Punjab leader Balram Das Tandon,
- Former MP Lalji Tandon.
- Senior party leader from Kerala O Rajagopal,
- Former Union minister Ram Naik,
- Delhi leader V K Malhotra and
- Former finance minister Yashwant Sinha
- Former UP CM Kalyan Singh
