A total number of fifty five IRS officers have been empaneled for holding Chief Commissioner rank posts.
The New Delhi establishment on Thursday cleared the empanelment of 55 IRS officers hailing from 1990 and 1991 batches. They are now eligible for holding Chief Commissioner (Income Tax) rank posts. They will now be getting equivalent positions in the Indian Revenue Services in Level 16 in the Pay Matrix, for the panel year 2024.
Apart from year 1991 and 1992 batch officers, the list also includes a couple of 1992 batch officers too. Fourteen officers out of the fifty five officers empanelled, are in the ‘extended panel’.
