The tenure of Election Commissioner Anup Chandra Pandey is coming to end next month. This will be a key vacancy after AC Pandey’s term gets over in February 14, 2024.
The post will soon be advertised in order to find new Election Commissioner due to the end of the tenure of present Election Commissioner, Anup Chandra Pandey.
Pandey had joined the Election Commission as the second election commissioner last year in 2023.
An 1984-batch Indian Administrative Service officer, Pandey will demit office in February 2024 on attaining the age of sixty five. He superannuated as the UP Chief Secretary in August 2019. He then rendered services as a member of National Green Tribunal Oversight Committee, UP. Earlier, Anup Chandra Pandey also served as industrial development commissioner of Uttar Pradesh.
