Two Kerala State Civil Service officers have been elevated to IAS rank.
In a significant development, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has elevated two senior officers from the Kerala State Civil Service to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) under the Kerala cadre.
Mr. Arun J O and Ms. Hima K, both experienced and accomplished officers, have been inducted into the IAS through the promotion quota. Their elevation follows the established process of recognizing meritorious state service officers for inclusion in the prestigious All India Services.
These promotions, approved through due process, reinforce the state’s administrative framework by acknowledging exceptional service within the bureaucracy. Both officers will bring their extensive governance experience to their new roles in the Kerala cadre.
The induction also ensures the continued strength of All India Services officers in the state, with Mr. Arun and Ms. Hima set to take up their new responsibilities after completing the necessary formalities.
