Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi will be the new Judicial Member, Lokpal of India.
Prior to joining as the Judicial Member, Lokpal of India, Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi was rendering services as the Chairperson of the twenty second Law Commission of India.
Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi sworn in as new judicial member, Lokpal. The oath ceremony was organised on Wednesday at Lokpal of India office in New Delhi and the oath was administered by Justice AM Khanwilkar who is the incumbent Chairperson, Lokpal of India.
The new appointments have taken place as two existing Judicial Members namely Justice Abhilasha Kumari and Justice PK Mohanty. Other three Members namely Archana Ramasundaram, DK Jain and Mahender Singh have finished their tenure in Lokpal yesterday on March 26, 2024.
Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi has also previously worked as Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court.
