Former IAS officer J Satyanarayana, an IAS officer of 1977 batch belonging to Andhra Pradesh cadre has been appointed as part-time chairperson of Unique Identification Authority of India(UIDAI), tasked with issuing Aadhaar numbers.The post has been lying vacant following resignation of Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani’s resignation in 2014.
