IAS officers Isha Priya and Gaurav Verma have been assigned new roles as Special Secretary in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
Prior to the Lok Sabha polls in the weeks to come, Uttar Pradesh Government has mandated the shifting of seven IAS officers across the state in various departments.
Among the seven officers shifted are Ujjwal Kumar (2012 batch IAS officer), Arun Prakash (another 2012 batch IAS officer), Ramesh Ranjan (2013 batch IAS), Gaurav Verma (2014 batch IAS), Shesh Nath (2012 batch IAS), Isha Priya (2016 batch IAS) and Atal Rai (2010 batch IAS).
Year 2014 batch of IAS Gaurav Verma is at present serving as the Special Secretary of Youth Welfare. With the new order he has been mandated to assume office as the Special Secretary of Secretariat Administration.
On the other hand, year 2016 batch of IAS officer Isha Priya is the incumbent Additional Registrar (Administration) in the Cooperative department. She has now been assigned the role of the Special Secretary in the Department of Tourism,
