An recent order by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) witnesses appointment of IPS officer Rahul Kumar Shahapurwad as as the SP in the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
Year 2012 batch Karnataka cadre IPS officer Shahapurwad is at present the incumbent Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) South Division in Bengaluru. Following the order he has been mandated to assume office as the Superintendent of Police (SP) in the NIA.
Indian Police Service officer officer hRahul Kumar Shahapurwad has earlier served as the SP of Tumkur, Karnataka.
