IAS Kundan Kumar assigned an additional role as MD of Infrastructure Development Authority.In a bid to streamline efforts between industrial development and infrastructure expansion, the Bihar government has appointed senior IAS officer Kundan Kumar as the Managing Director of the Infrastructure Development Authority (IDA), in addition to his existing roles.
Kumar currently serves as the Resident Commissioner for the Government of Bihar and Managing Director of the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA). With this expanded mandate, he will now lead both BIADA’s industrial promotion initiatives and IDA’s infrastructure planning and execution.
Under Kumar’s leadership, BIADA has made significant strides in drawing investment and accelerating industrial growth across Bihar. His new responsibilities at IDA will further extend his influence to key infrastructure projects aimed at boosting the state’s development landscape.
This move is expected to foster better coordination between industrial and infrastructure initiatives, enabling a more cohesive and efficient model for Bihar’s economic progress.
Kumar’s dual appointment underscores the state government’s trust in his leadership capabilities and proven track record in public administration.
