New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is visiting China on Friday for a two-day informal summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday said he will be discussing vision and priorities for national development with the Chinese President.
“President Xi and I will exchange views on a range of issues of bilateral and global importance. We will discuss our respective visions and priorities for national development, particularly in the context of current and future international situation,” the Prime Minister tweeted.
The summit, taking place before the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation meet in June, is seen as an effort by India and China to rebuilt trust and improve ties which suffered a major blow following the 73-day-long standoff between the two countries over Doklam.
