There are already four Secretary level posts are vacant and the fifth one is going to fall vacant by the end of January 2024.
The fifth key position which is due to fall vacant this month is of Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation. This is due to Gyanesh Kumar’s retirement in the last week of January 2024.
Year 1988 batch IAS, Gyanesh Kumar’s retirement at this month end, has high stakes over the vacancy for two reasons. One, the next Secretary also going to face the same challenging task of working under Home Minster Amit Shah who is the the toughest task mater in the NaMo 0.2 dispensation. The second reason is this that not every one has understood the importance of the newly formed Ministry of Cooperation.
