The 1983 batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre, J. N. Singh has been appointed as new Chief Secretary of Gujarat. Prior to this he was serving as Managing Director of Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Limited. Dr. Singh serves as Additional Chief Secretary of Finance Department and Additional Chief Secretary to Government, General Administration Department (Personnel), Government of Gujarat. He has a wide and varied experience in various Departments of Government of Gujarat and Government of India.
