Finance ministry is in the process of filling the vacant post of non-executive chairman at nine public sector banks.The Banks are Punjab National Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, UCO Bank and Corporation Bank.
A senior finance ministry official said that the process to fill vacancies in nine banks is underway. Andhra Bank, IDBI Bank and Indian Overseas Bank are among the banks where the newly created post of non-executive chairman is vacant. The government had split the post of chairman and managing director in PSBs in August last year.
