Government Proposed amendment in the duration of Induction training to the officers inducted into IAS.
“The duration of induction training programme for officers inducted into Indian Administrative Service (IAS) is presently of 8 weeks and now it has been proposed to reduce it from 8 weeks to 6 weeks,” the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) reportedly said in an order.
The move is based on the recommendation of Kiran Agarwal committee. The department has sought views of the state governments on the proposed amendments by 24 April.
