A committee has been constituted to tackle Mizoram-Assam boundary issues by the Government of Assam.
As per the statement issued by the Assam Government, “A Boundary Committee has been constituted which will be responsible to consider various issues relating to the Mizoram-Assam inter-state boundary.”
The new government of Mizoral under chief minister Lalduhoma, has promised to make efforts towards resolving the decades old border differences with Assam. This development appears to be the most significant step in that direction.
