Senior IPS officers Gagandeep Singla and Sumedha and have been appointed as DIG in CBI.
The two IPS officers are among seven new DIGs in the Central Bureau of Investigation.
Year 2010-batch IPS officer of Rajasthan cadre, Gagandeep Singla has been named as the DIG. He has been given a term for five years up to January 11, 2029.
As per another order, year 2005-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre, Sumedha has been appointed as the Deputy Inspector General in CBI for five years.
Apart from senior IPS officers Sumedha and Gagandeep Singla, five more officers who have been posted as Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) in the CBI.
The names of the five IPS officers, elevated as DIG include Dhurat Saayali Savlaram, K Siva Subramani, P Murugan, Jal Singh Meena and Rajveer.
These officers are already working as the SPs in the CBI, and they have been given different combined tenure.
