Ex PS officer Vijay Kumar and his wife join BJP in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
A year 1998 batch IPS officer Vijay Kumar had served as the Acting Director General of Police under the Yogi Government of Uttar Pradesh.
Following a bureaucratic development recently, former IPS officer Vijay Kumar along with his wife joined the BJP in UP merely a week ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.
IPS Vijay Kumar was serving as the acting Director General of Police in Uttar Pradesh from May 2023 to January 2024.
Vijay Kumar states that he is impressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He has worked with UP Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath also. ”Impressed by Yogi’s style of working too and the positive atmosphere he has created has made me think to join the BJP. Me and my wife have joined the party with the aim of social service” says the IPS.
