The government announced the appointment of five officers last week, incidentally none of them are an IAS. They all belong to various Central Group “A” services in the ministries such as home affairs, mines, commerce and also in the department of investment and public asset management that comes under the ministry of finance. following are the details.
- The 2006 batch Indian Forest Service (IFoS) officer Prashant Rajagopal has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the ministry of home affairs for a period till May 17, 2021.
- 2002 batch Indian Telecom Service (ITS) officer Ashwani Kumar has been appointed as Director in the Inter State Council Secretariat under the ministry of home affairs.
- 2000 batch Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS) officer Bhaskar Choradia has been appointed as Director in Directorate General of Supplies and Disposals (DGS and D).
- 2008 batch Indian Cost Accounts Service (ICoAS) officer Chunilal Ghosh has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the department of investment and public asset management, one of the five departments of the ministry of finance
- 1998 batch Indian Postal Service (IPoS) officer Veena Kumari Dermal has been appointed as Director in the ministry of mines.
