Overseas Indian Affairs and External Affairs Minister Smt. Sushma Swaraj to Chair Fourth Meeting of the Board of Trustees India Development Foundation of Overseas Indians
The Overseas Indian Affairs and External Affairs Minister Smt. Sushma Swaraj will chair the Fourth Meeting of the Board of Trustees India Development Foundation of Overseas Indians (IDF-OI) in Jawaharlal Nehru Bhawan in New Delhi tomorrow. The Secretary, Overseas Indian Affairs, Shri Sunil Soni will also be present in the meeting.
The India Development Foundation of Overseas Indians (IDF-OI) is a not for profit Trust established in 2008 by the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs to serve as a credible institutional avenue to enable overseas Indians to engage in philanthropy to supplement India’s social development efforts. The Trust has a two-tier structure comprising the Board of Trustees and the Executive Directorate. IDF-OI is chaired by the Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs.
The Board comprises of four eminent overseas Indians, four eminent resident Indians and senior officials from the Ministries of External Affairs, Home Affairs, Finance and NITI Aayog.
