IAS officer Dr. Samir V. Kamat has been allotted an extension in service.
As per a directive issued by the Secretariat of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions), Department of Personnel and Training, IAS officer Dr. Samir V. Kamat has been mandated for an extension in service.
At present Dr. Samir V. Kamat is serving as Secretary, Department of Defence Research and Development (DDR&D) and Chairman, Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO). With the new order he will now be continuing on his post for a period of one year from 01 .06.2024 till 31 .05.2025 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
