Two senior IRS officers of 1990 batch have been promoted to Apex Scale.
The officers’ formal postings will be decided later on after the approval of the Competent Authority. By then they have been instructed to take charge of the promoted positions on an in situ basis.
Lately through a notification the Centre has empanelled with promotion two senior IRS officers from the 1990 batch to the rank of Principal Chief Commissioner / Principal Director General of Customs & Indirect Taxes (Apex Scale).
One of the officers promoted Raj Kumar (IRS C&IT: 1990) will have a Service tenure until July 27, 1968, whereas the other one Valte Vungzamuan (IRS C&IT: 1990) is going to have Service tenure until March 1, 1967.
