Few days back NBSB had carried an exclusive story through its reliable sources, where one very senior official posted at Finance Ministry and her husband were involved in unscrupulous practices. Later on according to sources, Revenue Secretary has asked report on this matter from CVC & CBI.

Now Recently Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) sleuthes arrested Shylender Singh, an Inspector attached to the Customes Department’s special Intelligence and investigation branch, SIIB (Export) at Jawaharlal Nehru Customs house at Nhava House on October 26.

This is an example of the systemic rot and corruption that has gripped the department. NBSB recent exclusive story has also indicated about higher level corruption in department, Question here is about functioning of CBEC board. How bad postings in this board by government is not only strengthening the hand of corrupt people on top but its reflection can be seen at lower level as well.
