The Election Commission has shifted 8 DMs along with 12 SPs in five Indian states.
Issuing a new directive lately the Election Commission of India (ECI) on has transferred District Magistrates (DM), Superintendent of Police (SP) along with DIG/IG rank officers in five states.
These states with new SPs and DMs include Assam -(DM of Udalgiri), Jharkhand -SP Deoghar, Bihar- (DM and SP of Bhojpur and Nawada district). The officials have been directed by the EC to fill up vacant posts of IG Dumka, SP(Rural) Ranchi and DIG Palamu.
In Odisha, SP of Angul, Behrampur, Khurda, Rourkela, DM of Cuttack & Jagatsinghpur, and DCP Cuttack & IG Central have been changed. In the state of Andhra Pradesh ( DM of Krishna, Tirupati, Ananthpuramu districts, SP of Palnadu, Prakasham, Chittoor, Nellore, Anathpuramu districts and IGP Guntur Range have been changed.
