One of the top financial news of the year is here. Sixteenth Finance Commission has been constituted and Dr Panagariya will be the Chairman of the Commission.
In pursuance to Article 280(1) of the Constitution, the Government of India has constituted the 16th Finance Commission. Dr Arvind Panagariya is former Vice-Chairman, NITI Aayog, and also has been a professor in Columbia University.
Now after the nomination of the Chairman, other members of the Sixteenth Finance Commission are also soon to be notified separately. Out of them for the position of the Secretary to the Commission, Ritvik Ranjanam Pandey (IAS: 1998: KN) has been appointed.
