The Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) has decided the cadre strength for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Forest Service (IFoS) for the states Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Andhra Pradesh will have 211 posts of IAS, 144 posts of IPS and 82 posts of IFoS officers.
Newly formed Telangana will have 163 IAS, 112 IPS and 65 IFoS officers. Of the total of 163 IAS officers, one is each for Chief Secretary and Additional Chief Secretary for Telangana. 10 for Principal Secretaries and 27 for Secretaries among others.
