According to top reliable sources, NBSB has learnt that UP government has sent a recommendation letter to centre for 3 months extension to current DGP Sulkhan Singh. It is believed that this extension will be done.
Before this for last few days, there was a big speculations about new DGP and many names including DG fire Services Praveen Singh, DG SSB Rajnikant Mishra, DG Home guards Dr. Surya Kumar Shukla, DG intelligence, HQRS, Bhavesh Kumar Singh, Hitesh chandra Awasthi ( IPS 85 batch) Pramod Kumar Tiwari (IPS 86 batch) and few other names were in air. But state government has preferred to extend service of Sulkhan Singh.
It is believed that MHA received three months extension request for DGP from Chief Secretary UP.
