IAS officer Deepti Umashankar has been appointed as OSD to the President of India, Smt Draupadi Murmu.
The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of IAS Deepti Umashankar (HY:93), Establishment Officer & Additional Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. Now she will serve as Officer on Special Duty to the President of India in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India from the date of assumption of charge.
The officer will take over as Secretary to the President of India vice Shri Rajesh Verma, lAS (OR:87) upon his superannuation on 31 .08.2024.
