New Delhi: Congress president Rahul Gandhi who wants to rally opposition parties behind the grand old political outfit for the 2019 parliamentary polls, met ailing RJD chief at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences on Monday.
The RJD chief, serving a jail term since December 23, 2017, is undergoing treatment for various ailments related to heart and kidney. He was admitted to the country’s premier medical institute on March 29. The AIIMS administration has formed a medical team comprising six doctors to decide his course of treatment.
On March 17, the RJD chief was admitted to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Ranchi over complaints of uneasiness while he was lodged at the Birsa Munda jail.
