Presuming termination, the CIC Chairman now faces a fresh FIR after resignation of ex-CS.
The Coal and liquor scams apparently is about to take a new turn in the state of Chhattisgarh. There is a fresh FIR lodged by the Directorate of Enforcement with the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Raipur. The FIR is against more than seventy people in the liquor scam. The FIR also accuses 30 people in the coal scam among them is the former Chief Secretary of Chhattisgarh Vivek Kumar Dhand.
The senior-most IAS officers’ names in the FIR caught up the immediate attention of civil servants within Chhattisgarh and outside as well. According to a section of insiders, he is being dragged for his proximity to Bhupesh Baghel, the former state CM.
At the same time many others term him the fountainhead of all corruption during the term of Bhaghel’s Congress government.
Though the case was registered on January 17, 2024 but it approached to the media after ten days on Friday.
