IAS officer Chinmay P Gotmare has been empanelled for Joint Secretary-level roles in Government of India,

Chinmay P Gotmare, a 2009-batch IAS officer of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, has been empanelled for appointment to Joint Secretary or equivalent posts in the Government of India. The empanelment was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) and communicated through an official order dated April 15, 2025.

Currently, Gotmare is serving as Director in the Department of Expenditure, a position he assumed in April 2024, following his appointment order issued on March 28, 2024. Recognized for his strong administrative skills and policy insight, his empanelment marks a significant step in his career, paving the way for higher responsibilities at the central level.

Part of a Wider Empanelment Exercise

Gotmare’s empanelment comes as part of a broader set of approvals made by the ACC on April 14, 2025. In this round, 19 officers from various All India and Central Civil Services were cleared for Joint Secretary-level positions across different ministries and departments.

His inclusion in this select group highlights his rising stature within the central bureaucracy and positions him for key leadership roles in policy formulation and governance at the national level.
