CBI has arrested Chhappardhare, Superintendent of Central Excise, for accepting an alleged bribe of Rs one lakh from a businessman.A case was registered on February 16 against a Superintendent of Central Excise, Khamgaon (Maharashtra).
The complainant alleged that the Superintendent of Central Excise, Khamgaon demanded a bribe of Rs five lakhs from him for not imposing penalty on his plant.The CBI laid a trap and the accused was caught red handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs One lakh as first instalment from the complainant.
