The 1984 batch IAS officer, Brij Raj Sharma has been appointed as the new chief secretary of J&K. Sharma, he would remain the chief secretary till 2020.
Recently Muhammad Iqbal Khandey chose to seek voluntary retirement (VRS) three months prior to his superannuation. Khandey had sought VRS three months before his November 30 superannuation date following differences with his political bosses.
