IPS officer Amit Lodha has been promoted to the post of ADG in Bihar.
In a key development, the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government has promoted Amit Lodha, a 1986-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, to the rank of Additional Director General of Police (ADG). Lodha, who currently serves as the Inspector General of Police (IG) at the State Crime Records Bureau, has been elevated as per an official notification issued by the Home Department.
The promotion takes effect in principle from the date of elevation of his junior, Ratna Sanjay Katiyar. However, Lodha will formally assume his new role upon taking charge. This advancement is seen as a recognition of his exemplary service in Bihar’s police force and underscores the government’s focus on officer accountability and career progression within law enforcement.
