Bihar Cadre IAS Manubhai Parmar to be Chairman of Kandla Port

Deputy Chairman of Mumbai Port Trust Ravi Manubhai Parmar (IAS:1992:BH) to be appointed as chairman of Kandla Port Trust (KPT). He has been holding the additional charge of KPT since January 2014.KPT was conferred Port of The Year Award by International Seafarers Welfare Association (ICSW), London, under the Chairmanship of P D Vaghela in 2012. In addition, it also received the Major Port of the Year Award from Maritime and Logistics Awards (MALA) in September 2013 fourth time in a row.
