Bihar: 4 IAS Officers Shifted, Two Assigned Additional Charges

Bihar Government has transferred 4 IAS officers. Two of them have been assigned additional charges  whereas Preyasi has been appointed Secretary, Social Welfare Department.

In a recent administrative reshuffle, the Bihar government, led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has transferred four senior IAS officers and assigned additional responsibilities to two others. The changes were announced through an official notification issued by the General Administration Department.

Key Appointments and Transfers:

  • Harjot Kaur, a 1992 batch IAS officer and the current Additional Chief Secretary of the Social Welfare Department, has been posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Forest, Environment, and Climate Change Department, until further notice.

  • Mihir Kumar Singh (1993 batch) will continue to hold additional charge as Additional Chief Secretary, Industries Department.

  • Safina A N (1997 batch) has been appointed Divisional Commissioner of the Magadh Division.

  • Prem Singh Meena, a 2000 batch officer and outgoing Divisional Commissioner of Magadh, has been designated Additional Member, Revenue Board.

  • Bandana Preyasi, from the 2003 batch, has been posted as Secretary, Social Welfare Department.

  • Kundan Kumar (2004 batch) will continue to hold additional charge of the Infrastructure Development Authority (IDA).

These changes are effective with immediate effect and form part of a routine administrative restructuring aimed at enhancing governance and departmental efficiency.
