Ashtavinayak Cinevision Public Ltd, a film production and distribution company that produces and distributes Indian films, mainly Bollywood Films. Example- Jab We Met, Golmaal etc.
The said company provided finance of 296 Crores to 5 Indian Companies and 444 Crores to other International companies and 83 Crores to individual parties. It has been revealed during investigation that all the companies are bogus and total Rd. 823 Crores have been siphoned off. The offence has been registered by EOW, Unit-3 and arrested 7 accused persons including 2 Auditors and Directors.
Yesterday on 15 April, Chairman & Managing Director Dhilin Mehta and his father Harshad Mehta ( brain behind the conspiracy) have been arrested. They have been granted police custody till 24 April 2015.
