Shri Bandaru Dattatreya, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Labour and Employment today inaugurated Introduction of Yoga in Curricula of National Academy for Training & Research in Social Security. To mark the occasion, yoga specialists exhibited various Yoga Asanas required by the officers/officials which would help them in improving their day-to-day functioning.
The Minister took a round of the Academy premises and was briefed about the training activities in the Academy. The live demonstration of various Asanas and a short presentation on historical development of Yoga was made by a team of Yoga experts. The Minister in his speech stressed the importance of maintaining work life balance and mentioned about the efforts of the Prime Minister in bringing Yoga at International forefront and adoption of 21st June as International Yoga Day.
The Minister appreciated the efforts made by the NATRSS to have taken initiative of introducing Yoga as regular feature in NATRSS training curricula, which would benefit the participants and the society at large. Director, NATRSS in his welcome speech informed that in the financial year 2014-15, a total number 303 training programme were conducted in which 5,784 officials were trained.
