Punjab & Haryana High Court issues bailable warrant against IAS officer.
A resident of Ambala, Narinder Pal Mal has alleged that an order passed by the high court was being intentionally disobeyed by a bureaucrat, which is amounting to contempt of court.
The Punjab and Haryana High Court has issued bailable warrant against the bureaucrat Sangeeta Tetarwal (2013 batch, Haryana cadre, IAS). The IAS officer currently is serving as the Municipal Commissioner of Ambala. She has been alleged to prompt her into presenting herself before the HC bench which is being amounted to a ‘contempt of court’ case.
Punjab & Chandigarh HC Justice Rajbir Sehrawat has imposed a ten thousand rupees fine too on the officer. The Court has asserted that since the respondent had defaulted, this is why this cost is being imposed.
