Seven top cops have been given elevation in the state of Assam to the IPS rank.
In accordance with a recently issued notification by the state administration of Assam, names of seven state police services officers have been mandated for the Indian Police Services rank through the Presidential approval. The chosen officers belong to year 2019 to 2023 batch.
Three among the chosen officers from the 2019 list include names of Jayshree Khersa, David Neitham, and Mugdha Jyoti Dev Mahanta, whereas from the list of year 2023 batch names include Harekrishna Nath, Longnit Terang, Manabendra Dev Ray and Prasanta Saikia.
