IAS Laya Madduri has been appointed as Director in the Department of Economic Affairs.
Ms. Madduri previously served as Secretary to the Government of Assam, Finance Department, with an additional role as Managing Director of Assam Financial Corporation.
In a significant administrative shift, 2010-batch IAS officer Laya Madduri has been relieved from her duties in Assam and placed at the disposal of the Government of India for her new appointment as Director in the Department of Economic Affairs, Delhi.
Ms. Madduri, who played a key role in Assam’s finance sector, will transition to her new post after completing the formal handover process.
